Define the service you need
A fire door survey can help identify visible defects affecting doorsets and their operation. The inspection scope needs to specify the doors included and the checks to be made; inspecting a door does not automatically certify its fire resistance.
Tell us the number of doors, locations, building use and any existing door register or previous defects. Discuss access to individual flats or tenanted spaces where necessary.
Agree deliverables and exclusions
Ask whether the deliverable includes a door schedule, photographs, observations and recommended actions. Hidden construction, product evidence and intrusive checks may require additional work. Repairs, replacements and certification of newly installed doors are not presumed included.
